Poetry readings in the D.C. area (September 2015)

I'm giving a poetry reading on Wednesday, September 30, at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. It's part of the Fall for the Book Festival, and it begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Grand Tier III of the Center for the Arts. I grew up in Bethesda, so returning to the D.C. area will be a homecoming. I'll be reading mainly from Sea Level Rising. Here's the link to John Drury's reading at the Fall for the Book Festival.

I'm also going to take part in an open-mic reading at the Writer's Center in Bethesda (4508 Walsh Street) on Sunday afternoon, September 27, starting at 2:00 p.m. I’ll read “Sonnets for Mr. Lewis,” a sequence about my charismatic, terrifying, inspirational 9th grade English teacher.
